The United States Soccer Federation, commonly known as U.S. Soccer or USSF, is a U.S.-based non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) serving as the governing body for soccer across all levels in the country. It was founded on April 5, 1913, originally as the United States Football Association, and has been a full member of FIFA since 1914. It oversees all national teams—including men's, women's, youth, beach, futsal, Paralympic, and deaf teams—as well as the U.S. Open Cup and SheBelieves Cup. It also governs referees, leagues, and tournaments nationwide.
