The Valencian Golf Federation, a professional golf player and the GSIC Testing Lab assessed VITBIO’s smart insole, now awarded the “GSIC Certified” seal

Valencia, December 4, 2025 — The Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC) has reached a key milestone in its commitment to bringing cutting-edge solutions to the sports world as it has performed the first test in Golf of its recently created GSIC Testing Lab.

The test took place at the Elche Golf School, where Juan Salama Monsalve, one of Spain’s golf professional talents, evaluated the innovative wearable technology developed by VITBIO, a Taiwan-based startup pioneering fitness and medical health technology through AI, IoT, and microsensors. The GSIC Testing Lab, a center of excellence in applied technology for sports, entertainment, media and health based in Valencia, extends the Valencia city sandbox into the Valencian Region in collaboration with 58 regional sports federations, working together with the Valencian Region and the Valencia City Council through Valencia Innovation Capital, reinforcing the city’s position as a hub for sports technology and innovation.

The product tested, the OmniGmot AI Dynamic Motion Sensor, is a next-generation smart insole providing precise, real-time insights on foot pressure, center of gravity, exercise intensity, and caloric expenditure. Designed for 24-hour comfort, it syncs seamlessly with its mobile app to offer detailed analyses and personalized training suggestions.

The evaluation was conducted by a team of experts including Andrés Caballer Hernani (Sports Director of the Valencia Golf Federation), professional golf player Juan Salama Monsalve, and Juan Fuentes Fernández (Director of GSIC Testing Lab).

During the test, the team observed how VITBIO’s smart insole enables golfers to analyze posture with unprecedented precision, correct movements in real time, monitor foot pressure throughout the swing, and instantly compare video recordings to track performance progress.

In recognition of VITBIO’s technology, GSIC powered by Microsoft issues the “Wearables 201501” certification, which complements startup testing with a methodology where experts evaluate and provide feedback on ten metrics, including interoperability, latency, and performance impact, among others. The certification aims to build confidence in the market for potential buyers and investors of potentially disruptive technologies in the sports industry, providing a trusted benchmark for innovation.
