For the first time, the GSIC Powered by Microsoft Summit, the global benchmark event for sports innovation, will be held outside Madrid and Singapore, choosing Valencia as its venue. More than 100 experts from over 30 countries will meet on December 16th and 17th at this event that will bring together industry leaders, sports tech startups, scale-ups, major corporations, and sports organizations: Olympic committees, football clubs from leagues such as the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, and LALIGA, government delegations, and investment funds specializing in sports from France or Germany.
The event, held at La Harinera (home of the GSIC Testing Lab), is supported by Ayuntamiento de Valencia, through Valencia Innovation Capital, Generalitat Valenciana, Microsoft, Lenovo and The Netherlands Business Office in Spain. Alongside roundtable discussions with industry experts, leading technology companies will showcase innovative use cases of how technology is transforming the sports industry.
Throughout the event, experts will explore the latest trends and challenges across key areas such as athletic performance and applied technology, fan engagement and immersive experiences, media technologies and next-generation content platforms, sponsorship and digital monetization, as well as gaming and eSports.
In addition, the event will highlight the local sports industry, with the participation of organizations based in the Valencian Region such as The Ocean Race, Valencia CF, and Villarreal CF, reinforcing the region’s role as a benchmark in innovation and sports.
The GSIC Summit takes place within the GSIC Testing Lab Valencia initiative, a pioneering center operated by GSIC Powered by Microsoft that positions Valencia as a global sandbox for sports innovation. This unique ecosystem provides access to 58 federations and multiple sports venues, enabling sports tech startups worldwide to validate cutting-edge products and technologies with the potential to transform the industry.
