GSIC powered by Microsoft has awarded the “GSIC Certified – Performance” seal to LevelTech following the successful validation of its proprietary rating algorithm through the GSIC Testing Lab.
The certification follows an independent technical and methodological assessment of LevelTech’s research and validation study, focused on the application of advanced performance analytics across racket sports environments. The evaluation reviewed the consistency of the methodology, the robustness of the datasets analysed, and the practical applicability of the technology in real-world competitive contexts.
A validated step forward in performance analytics
At the core of the study is a dataset of more than 7.3 million match results collected across squash, Squash57, and padel over more than a decade of live operational deployment.
The validation demonstrated high levels of predictive consistency across multiple competition environments, including:
- 78.0% overall predictive accuracy across all match types
- Approximately 79.0% accuracy in tournament and event play
- Up to 80.0% accuracy in padel, supporting the framework's adaptability across multiple racket sports without requiring sport-specific redesign
The study also highlights the potential of scalable and portable rating infrastructures capable of supporting federations, clubs, tournament organizers, and digital platforms through more reliable performance measurement systems.
Independent validation by GSIC Testing Lab
The GSIC Testing Lab conducted an in-depth review of the algorithm’s methodology, datasets, and operational consistency across squash, Squash57, and padel environments.
The assessment highlighted:
- Advanced methodological components including point-level score analysis, behavioural modelling, contextual match weighting, and geographic calibration
- Strong empirical consistency supported by large-scale real-world datasets collected over more than a decade
- Cross-sport applicability across different racket sports environments and player populations
According to the validation report, the technology demonstrates strong potential to support more balanced competition structures, improved matchmaking, more accurate tournament seeding, and data-driven player development processes.
