VitalizedX has successfully completed a real-world football evaluation of its saliva-based performance monitoring technology, validating its application in a competitive sporting environment. The testing was carried out in Torrent (in the Province of Valencia), in collaboration with Torrent CF, a semi-professional football club from the Valencian Community, within a structured on-field assessment supported by the GSIC Testing Lab.

The solution developed by VitalizedX is designed to deliver rapid physiological insights through saliva analysis, providing results in less than five minutes. By analyzing biological biomarkers associated with athlete health, physical readiness, recovery, performance optimization, and injury risk prevention, the technology offers sports organizations a fast, non-invasive way to support day-to-day performance and medical decision-making.

More than 20 semi-professional players from Torrent CF participated in the evaluation during the final phase of the season. The testing was fully integrated into the club’s operational context, allowing the solution to be assessed under real performance demands and time constraints. For Torrent CF, the evaluation formed part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen athlete monitoring processes and reduce injury risk at a key moment of the competitive calendar. The session was coordinated by Pablo Gomez, Men’s Football Coordinator at Torrent CF, together with Carlos Valero, Head of the Physical Preparation Area, and Juan Fuentes, Director of the GSIC Testing Lab in Valencia.

VitalizedX founder Lavinia Alberi was present on site throughout the evaluation, working closely with the club’s technical and performance staff. During the session, she explained the testing methodology, the biomarkers analyzed, and the operational procedures required to ensure reliable saliva collection and data interpretation. This direct interaction allowed practitioners to better understand how rapid biological testing can be realistically integrated into everyday football performance environments, without adding complexity to existing workflows.

The assessment followed the GSIC Testing Lab’s proprietary methodology, combining expert technical and functional analysis with validation under real operational conditions. This approach enables technology providers like VitalizedX to demonstrate not only the scientific foundations of their solutions, but also their usability, scalability, and practical impact when applied in real sporting settings.

Beyond the technology itself, the collaboration with Torrent CF reflects a broader commitment of GSIC to democratizing access to innovation in sport. By enabling startups to validate their solutions with semi-professional and smaller professional organizations, real-world testing is no longer limited to elite clubs with extensive resources. This model opens the door for emerging technologies to be tested, refined, and adopted by a wider range of sports organizations facing similar performance and health challenges.

Following the successful completion of the evaluation, VitalizedX received the GSIC Certificate 201501 “Wearable & Performance”, reinforcing the relevance of its solution for practical performance environments across different levels of the sport ecosystem.
