PULSE, an Amsterdam based company founded in 2021, has built an operating system for elite sports teams, with a particular focus on football.

At many clubs, GPS data, wellness forms, medical notes and training plans still sit in separate files and spreadsheets. PULSE brings them into one place, together with mental wellbeing and, for women’s teams, menstrual-cycle data. It then analyses everything automatically and points performance, medical and coaching staff to what needs their attention, with recommendations for each player.

Each morning and after training, players answer a short check-in in the app on sleep, mood, stress, soreness and fatigue. Data from GPS units, wearables and testing tools such as VALD force plates comes in automatically, without changing the club’s routines. Coaches, physios and sports scientists see the same squad view, with each player’s readiness, workload, injuries and progress through return to play. An AI layer flags the players most at risk each week, prepares a morning brief and answers questions staff type into the dashboard. Training plans and the team calendar sit in the same system, and staff can message players from it.

In women’s teams, players also log their cycle and symptoms in the app. The system estimates which phase each player is in, and staff can see how phases are spread across the squad when they plan training and recovery. Legia Ladies in Warsaw, who signed a five-year partnership in October 2025, will also work with PULSE on evidence-based methods for monitoring health and performance in elite women’s football.

In July 2026, F.C. Como Women, who play in Italy’s top division, signed a three-season deal with PULSE. Their fitness coaches, Matteo Veltri and Andrea Collato, expect it to help them combine what each part of the staff collects into a more personalised approach to every player. In November 2024 PULSE won the 14th Dutch Sports Innovation Award, whose jury praised it as a practical answer to a clear need. Its first investor was SportInnovator, the Dutch sports innovation network set up by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.

We are delighted to welcome PULSE to the GSIC ecosystem and look forward to introducing them to performance and medical staff at men’s and women’s football clubs across our network.
